Substitute Teacher!!!– The Importance of Simply Moving to start Momentum towards Exercise for Racing.
Hi Racers,
Sorry about not publishing recently. The site was undergoing too difficult for Russ to understand repairs and techy technical stuff. I hate it when someone invites me to a site that is not working right and I didn't want to do that to you. Anyways, remember growing up in school and that huge burst of excitement that you'd have internally when there would be a substitute teacher sitting in the teacher's desk? Let's face it, it was a reflex reaction that you couldn't control. It sent a signal that you could dial down the attention, probably talk a little more with your buddies and maybe have less work.
However in the Russ Bohaty Racing Fitness class that meets regularly here and on the forums or on facebook or twitter or at the racers workout site, a substitute teacher doesn't exist. Here the individual is a guest instructor and they are here because they know certain important ideas and concepts better then me. Take today's new contributor: Tyler Benson.
He is a hungry young exercise and fitness guru who is getting formalized training at the University in Akron Ohio. I met him online when he approached me talking about fitness and wanting thoughts on how to become a trainer to elite athletes. He's an impressive guy and I love what he talks about here today.
I won't say there will be a surprise quiz when I get back, but you never know.
Substitutes of the world will always have this underrated classic.
Hey guys my name is Tyler Benson, I’m currently a freshman at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. I’m current studying Fitness Management and hope to one day be a personal trainer and ultimately manage my own fitness gym. I found Russ’s site when I was looking for a way to open up new doors and opportunities to where I want to go. But for now this is Tyler’s Racers Gym, in this blog we will talk about topics from how important cardio is during a workout and other guides to staying healthy. I’ll use the knowledge I learn each and everyday from my professor, and personal experience. I’ll also include blogs from other sites to open up to horizons of my section. In this blog we will lift up the weights of struggle and push forward to where we want to be.
Not everyone has the money to get a home gym, or an elliptical, but who needs them. Sure they help enhance your workout, but more than likely you’ll have to pay to get into a gym just to get to where you want to be. To get the true benefits of a cardio workout you need to have 30-45 minutes of active workout daily doing anything to keep your body moving and that heart pumping.
Jumping rope can burn up to 1,000 calories, it’s enjoyable, simple and if you have kids they enjoy it too. If you enjoy watching T.V., try jogging in place during the show and then when those boring commercials come on do some crunches and/or pushups.
This is a great way to burn calories fast and the average T.V. show is 45 minutes long, how ironic! So this is just the beginning guys, the door has been opened and it’s time to push forward. Let’s get to where we want to be, and be healthy and happy along the way. If you ain’t first…it’s okay keep pushing and you’ll be a winner.
Let me know what you think. Thank you!
Tyler Benson
*** I want everyone to keep up with Tyler on his Facebook page. This guy is gonna be a big time trainer for Racers.

Because I doubt many posts are being created any more about this awesome film.
