Racers, ask Ben Hogan: the will to prepare to win, was more important than the will to win.

People ask me why a create a  workout to help racers race better? The funny thing is none of those people who ask are actually racers. Racers don't ask because they know the extreme demands of the sport. Put simply: super muscle endurance coupled with strength in every part of a Racer's upper body is crucial.  There are specific ways of attacking these areas that will maximize the value received from your workout.  These guys aren't football players. They aren't posing for Muscle and Fitness. They are Racers who have unique needs to achieve victory.

As I point out in this Racers Workout free video, there are muscle endurance demands on areas of the racers body that are unlike any other sport.  We aim to have our racer clients master those demands.  The goal of Racers Workout is to have our racers not thinking about discomfort, but rather the specifics of what they need to do at the moment to charge into the lead. A racer that is uncomfortable, or worrying about their loss of strength, is not going to come away a winner that day.  The margins between winning and losing at any level of competitive racing are measured in fractions of a second. Any deficiency or superiority will reveal itself.

There is also no doubt that part of being skilled is being mentally superior to your competitors. I read one time about Ben Hogan, the famous golfer, and his philosophy of practicing longer and harder than anyone else on on Tour. His reasoning was that he wanted to master all the shots, BUT he also wanted to have the absolute confidence that came with vigilant preparation.  He felt like his competitors who didn't do the work before hand, would never have his confidence. Likewise, Racers Workout is about building a strong mind as much as a fit body for racing.  We can't miss if we commit to preparing to win.
