Coming full Circle: Auto Racers and the Rest of Us: every worthwhile outcome begins in our mind

We really do become what we think about, most of the time. Think about good things you want around you and take positive forward action.
Hey Gang!
The end of this very brief 5-part series on Mental Mastery for Auto Racing and all endeavors is here. Let me stress we will be back with plenty more because this is topic without an end. Let me say that is a great thing for all of us. I don't believe that a person of success exists on this planet who is not dedicated to learning and growing, especially learning from other successful people. Make a habit of spending a few minutes a week minimum, reading or watching materials that inspire. Feed your head full of good things. This will keep out the junk.
I actually take slight issue with Brian Tracy calling this Rule #7, but I see where he is coming from. All great accomplishments are born in our minds. The mind must not place limits on a dream.
Rule 7: There are no limits, except those that exist in our own minds.
In a previous article I talked about Brian Tracy's 6th law of the 7 laws for success in the 21st century. That being that a person can gain the knowledge or skills necessary to be anything they want to be. Previously we talked about other laws from Brian, such as the importance of having available fully-developed options, and keeping your mind on where you are going rather then dwelling on the tough spot your life might currently be in. If you notice, the laws of success seem to favor the person who conceives in his own mind a better place or result then finds the selective information or skills to get there, then takes action, while adjusting during the mistake process.
This formula applies to everyone who is a true success in any area of life. It could be at home, in the work place, on the athletic field. Fortune and luck don't really exist except for the folks who think in the way Brian talks about and who also do the action steps that Brian talks about. Still none of the laws will even be possible to apply if a person doesn't have a vision for his ideal outcomes. Without vision a person may not necessarily perish, (as the saying goes), but he might as well have. The need for self-actualization, being the best we can be in an area we are passionate about is on par with food, water, shelter, and meaningful relationships in the hierarchy of needs as humans.
If my racer clients such as Joey Saldana of Sprint car fame, or NASCAR Champion driver Kasey Kahne don't first start out their rise with a limitless vision for themselves, they will never be elite. They must first see the outcome and the mind can never limit their vision. When we work together employing specific exercises in my auto racers workout training and fitness program, they must have their mind focused on a larger vision.
That is really their motivation. I am just their as their coach to remind them of the smaller matters at hand. That is true of anybody. A person that just can't struggle their way out of bed every morning or can't wait to bolt work and get home to relax, should look closely at that vision and acquiring a new vision. Then get busy employing the other 6 laws of success. First though, the mind must be without limits.

Conceived in the limitless imagination, achieved through painstaking and tireless work.
