The lower back is something we talked about recently when I introduced the Sphinx push ups. I get a lot of demand for new exercises that can be done without weights. Add the Superman Banana Rolls to your Racers Workout every couple days. Do it after the main workout so you can be assured you are fully warmed up and also tired. Training the back when we are fatigued is good simulation for actual racing low back fatigue. They only take a minute or two to do, but they really attack that core muscle area and strengthen the low back. My thanks to the people over at P90x for bringing these to my attention. Here is your diagram and directions:
Hold for 10 to 15 seconds, 5 sets. Over time, try to get your legs and hands higher off the floor. Keep the head down though. Every 10-15 seconds roll over into banana roll position.

same deal. hold for 10 to 15 seconds 5 sets. Alternate back and forth with Superman. try to straighten your arms and bring your hands together. You'll notice over time that you'll be able to get your legs and arms higher off the floor.
